Manchester United has defeated Shanghai Shenhua by 1-0 in a friendly match. The Japanese midfielder, Shinji Kagawa, scored the only goal in the match. He scored the goal in the 68th minute of the match. Kagawa could have scored a goal in the 61st minute of the match as well, but, Qiu Shenjiong, the goalkeeper of Shenhua, saved his powerful shot. The Shangai players missed a lot of opportunities in the match and looked a bit rusty.

This is the first season of Kagawa with Manchester United. He was declared the man of the match for his brilliant performance. Kagawa joined Manchester United last month. The manager of the club, Alex Ferguson, seemed to be quite happy with the performance of Kagawa. He said that the way kagawa scored the goal was impressive. As per Ferguson, Kagawa would turn out to be a good buy for Manchester. There have been reports that Manchester wants to buy Lucas Moura, the Brazilian footballer. On being asked about that, Ferguson said that Manchester is willing to add some good players to the squad.

The club has bought two good players this summer i.e. Kagawa and Nick Powell and the club is looking for some more players at the moment. The skipper of Manchester United, Rio Ferdinand, has also applauded Kagawa. He said that this young midfielder has got a lot of talent. As per Ferdinand, Kagawa is a clever footballer and he makes brilliant moves on the field.

This match was organized in the middle of the Chinese League season and the fans of Shangai Shengua were not happy with that. Many fans said that the match had been organized only with the business purpose. The fans were also not happy with the high cost of the tickets.
